This information is provided as a guide and travellers should familiarize themselves with the laws and restrictions at the time of travel with relevant authorities for each country.

VIETNAM

Free import
For 18 years old and over:

  • 400 cigarettes or 100 cigars or 50g of tobacco 
  • 1,5L of spirits or 2L of alcohol containing up to 22% volume of alcohol or 3L of beer (or similar light alcoholic beverages)
  • 3Kg of coffee
  • 5Kg of tea
  • Non-commercial amount of gifts and unused items of up to the value of VND 5,000,000
  • Items for personal use (clothing, toiletries etc.)

Prohibited

  • Narcotics
  • Pornography 
  • Counterfeit items
  • Cultural artefacts and other objects of cultural importance
  • Explosive material

Restricted

  • Live animals – health certificate required along with complete and valid inoculations. Contact nearest embassy to obtain permission.
  • Endangered species and any products or parts thereof as outlined by CITES maybe be brought in only with CITES permission.
  • Medication

CAMBODIA

Free Import:
For 18 years old and over:

  • 2 liters of wine;
  • 400 cigarettes, or 100 cigars, or 400 grams of tobacco
    free import for all passengers:
  • 350 milliliters of perfume.
  • medicines for personal use.
  • Goods worth more than USD 100 - are subject to customs duty and taxes. Goods with a value of more than USD 300 must be declared on a Customs Declaration Form.

 

Currency
Currency Import regulations:
Local currency: Riel-KHR
Foreign currencies: up to a maximum of USD 10,000 or equivalent is allowed. Exceeding amounts must be declared on arrival.
