DAY 2 - TUESDAY 12 JUNE 2018
North Efate Sailaway ‘Snorkel’ Cruise
This morning, get ready for your highlight Sailaway Cruise from North Efate, Vanuatu featuring some of the best of the island’s snorkel spots.
The group is collected this morning for our 40 minute transfer to North Efate to Havannah Harbour, from where we set sail on our the trimaran “Golden Wing“.
The regular stops are Turtle Reef (colourful coral reefs), Survivor Beach (women’s camp) and Paul’s Rock (fish feeding & if lucky, spot a turtle). But the ultimate destinations are weather dependent and alternatives may be required.
Snorkel, hand feed schools of big fish, explore the beaches on the nearby islands, or simply relax on deck. This is a relaxed, casual day out. It’s for adventure minded holiday makers who love the water.
Included with our day on the water are morning and afternoon teas, a casual lunch, and use of snorkeling equipment. Soft drinks are available for purchase on board.
What to bring: bring money for drink purchases, or bring water with you, swimwear, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, clothes for sun protection, beach towel (can borrow from resort), camera, and you may like to bring your own snorkel equipment.
About The Catamaran
“Golden Wing” is a sailing trimaran with a big, clear deck area, providing room to spread out and enjoying your day on the water. The deck is designed so that passengers can sit on the cabin ‘roof’ spanning the main hull and wing decks.
There is a deck awning for protection from the sun, and the boat has the ability to anchor directly over all reefs so access for snorkelling is as easy as just jumping in. An experienced Australian skipper and friendly, helpful ni-Vanuatu crew, all add up to making you cruise a magical experience.
An inflatable dinghy is used for getting to and from shore. All snorkeling gear, including life vests for non-swimmers is provided.
We return to the resort at the end of the day. There’s time to refresh before we head out for dinner tonight at a local spot for a delicious evening of Thai food.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Note for non swimmers: The trip is a true snorkeling experience with a focus on being in the water - there is always the option to opt out and relax at the resort.
