Cape du Couedic Lighthouse Keepers Heritage

Step back in time and treat yourself to the beautifully restored Cape du Couedic Lighthouse Keepers cottages on stunning Kangaroo Island.

Nestled in Flinders Chase National Park, Cape du Couedic is renowned for its wildlife and spectacular coastal scenery. View seals frolicking in the ocean from a spectacular lookout. Visit Remarkable Rocks and Kelly Hill Caves, just a short drive away. Take a stroll to Admirals Arch, long after the crowds have gone, or relax on your front veranda to watch for the first stars to shine and the welcoming beam of the lighthouse.

The lodges offer the charm of yesteryear, with polished pine floors, tasteful furnishings and cosy self-contained kitchen. Each cottage sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms.

Cape du Couedic is one of three unique lighthouse accommodation precincts managed by national parks.

Due to the historical layout of the cottages there is only one bathroom per cottage and there are three rooms per cottage.

The cottages are extremely spacious and in superb condition. Meal times are split between those happy to eat their main meal sitting around the fire in the lounge room and those happy to eat at a large dining table, separate in the kitchen.

For accommodation; we do not provide alcohol but you are welcome to bring your own beer, wine and/or spirits for the occasion.

There is no mobile reception from the location of the cottages which also means wi-fi is not available. During the walks there will be some limited opportunities for mobile reception and internet access using your own wi-fi if you have this arrangement with your service provider.
