Medications – General Advice
General advice for all destinations. For each country of your intended travel enquire from Government sources about limits or restrictions for any medications you are bringing with you (prescribed and over the counter). Allow sufficient time in case of approval processes.
- Prescription Requirement: Carry a valid prescription from a licensed medical practitioner.
- Documentation: Have medical documents detailing the necessity of the medication, such as a diagnosis or treatment plan.
- Quantity Limit: Refer to each government for any limits on quantity and restrictions of medications
- Over-the-Counter Medications: Consider that common medications available in your own country can be a controlled or restricted medication in other countries. Verify their status before travelling.
