Travel Policy - Illness On Tour

Your health and wellbeing are important to us, and we’re committed to making your travel experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

While on tour, in the event you become unwell, we will assist as much as possible.

Should you present with symptoms of a cold, flu, or COVID-19 that are reasonably deemed as possibly communicable, as a minimum standard we require that you:

  • Submit to a self-administered COVID-19 test if requested by your tour guide/tour host.
  • Wear a fitted facemask that covers your nose and mouth.
  • Regularly sanitise your hands, including prior to entry to the group vehicle/transport.
  • Physically distance yourself from other group members and support crew while with the group on transport and touring.

Each of our tours is unique, and the size of the group, vehicle, and facilities can vary. This often allows for flexibility in managing illness or personal space needs without the need for complete separation from the group.

For example, many tours use transport/coaches that allow two seats in one row on one side of the bus for all or a number of passengers. This provides space to rest comfortably and with distance from other tour members, while still being part of the journey. Our aim is to strike a balance between caring for individual needs and mitigating the likelihood of passing on a communicable illness.

If you’re feeling unwell during the tour, we’ll work with you to find the best solution based on the circumstances of the group and the facilities available. We’re here to support you, and we consider the health and safety of everyone on tour.

Should You Test Positive for COVID-19

If, due to the circumstances of the tour, you can’t self-isolate (that is, maintain a safe physical distance) from the group while travelling with the group, we reserve the right to require that you isolate through other arrangements.

Where alternative travel arrangements and accommodation are required that are independent of the group, we will do our best to assist with these arrangements. Additional costs of isolating, and other costs such as meals, transport, and personal purchases during the isolation period, are at your expense. We recommend seeking advice from your travel insurer for making a claim on these costs.

COVID-19 Vaccination

We do not require proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to travel with us. In general terms, third parties such as airlines or cruise companies do not require proof of vaccination either.

Tour Personnel

If a driver, guide, or any tour personnel becomes sick or a situation arises that results in them not being able to conduct services, we and/or our local team on the ground will seek a replacement. This is an event outside our control, so we can’t predict how this may or may not impact the tour. It’s similar to a vehicle breakdown.

Australian Owned

100% Australian; we 'get' the Australian travel style. And, better still, our arms are open to welcome our friends from other countries around the world, who'd like to travel with friendly Aussies.©
