FIJI RESORT PACKAGE, 12-18 October 2019
SIGATOKA RIVER SAFARI
On day 6 of the itinerary there is the option to take a Safari on the Sigatoka River.
Fiji's original jet-boat safari, Sigatoka River Safari offers all our guests a half-day, uniquely Fijian adventure into the "Heart & Soul of Fiji" aboard the custom-built safari jet boats.
Cruise your way up the majestic Sigatoka River to visit authentic Fijian villages and experience a day in the life of the real ‘kaiviti’ (Fijian). Your jet boat driver and guide will bring the journey to life, introducing you to the rich culture of the people of Fiji and sharing the history, customs and legends of the area with you.
The emphasis on the world famous Sigatoka River Safari is to enable all our guests to interact and engage with the Fijian people as they truly are. You will know that what you are seeing is the "real deal" as you travel deep in the Fijian interior to allow you to get a glimpse of life as it used to be.
ECOTRAX HALF DAY EXCURSION
Let the rhythm of the rails carry you a
long through beautiful bush, rock cuttings, villages and fields ...magical scenery with a surprise and a smile around every corner. Deserted beaches stretch for miles as you traverse untouched tracts of the famous Coral Coast.
Pedal or simply use your accelerator to cruise along! Stop and stretch the legs, swim and snorkel in the turquoise clear water, snack on local fruits and coconut drinks at a remote beach location.
About the bikes
Designed and built by green inventor extraordinaire Howie de Vries. The modern, comfortable, electric-assisted vehicles are essentially modified, rail-mounted pushbikes.
They’re suitable for absolutely anyone to enjoy at their own pace as the bikes are battery powered and tracks – you will look like you’re doing the peddling, when you’re not!
There’s some amazing history – Fiji’s sugarcane industry blazed this trail – but nature again dominates this slice of coastal magic. The sea and the land here are close to the hearts of the Fijian crew. They have a genuine love of sharing the stories and sharing in your fun every day at Ecotrax.
Returning back along the rails you'll know you have done something totally unique and can claim to have seen a part of Fiji rarely accessed.
