OVERVIEW

Solos Only

Scandinavia Solo Travel Tours

Experience the magic of a northern summer where the sun lingers late into the night and the landscapes are bathed in endless light. From elegant royal capitals to the stillness of Lapland forests and the drama of Norway’s fjords, this journey captures the essence of Scandinavia. Travel with a small group of like-minded solo travellers and share in a discovery that blends cities and, countryside in one adventure.

The Best Scandinavian Tour for Singles

Begin in Stockholm, where medieval laneways and grand boulevards sit side by side, and the Swedish love of music and design is on full display. From here, sail across the Baltic Sea to reach Helsinki, a capital of sleek architecture, lively harbourfronts and a warm Nordic welcome.

Flying north, step into Finnish Lapland. In Rovaniemi and Inari, the landscapes shift to forest and tundra, where the Sami people live in close connection with their reindeer herds. Here you will experience a slower pace with visits to local families, and the long northern days that stretch out into midnight.

Crossing into Norway, the journey climbs to the edge of Europe at Nordkapp. Standing here under the midnight sun is a moment that stays with you forever. Further south, Tromsø mixes Arctic charm with city life, where modern culture meets traditional fishing heritage.

In Oslo, Norway’s capital, the Scandinavian blend of art, history and contemporary life is on show before the landscape takes over again. Travel into the fjordlands, where deep valleys, tumbling waterfalls and snow-tipped peaks frame small villages. Ride the world-famous Flåm Railway and cruise through the serene Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO-listed wonder of narrow waters and soaring cliffs.

Your Scandinavian summer concludes in Copenhagen, a city of grand castles, canals and gardens. This final chapter celebrates the spirit of the north, with time to enjoy the Danish capital’s atmosphere.

✨ Tour Tip: We highly recommend extending your stay in Copenhagen. It is a wonderful city for your own independent discoveries and well worth at least an extra night.

ACCOMMODATION

Accommodation throughout this tour is based mainly on straightforward, good value four-star hotels. They provide comfort and convenience rather than luxury. A highlight is our stay at the Arctic Light Hotel in Rovaniemi, a boutique designer property offering a special experience. In the fjordlands and in the Artic Circle at Inari, three or three-and-a-half star hotels are used, due to the regional location, where higher-rated options are limited, at a high premium, or not available. In addition, in some cases where a hotel holds an official four-star rating, we have applied a three-and-a-half star rating to provide a more moderate and realistic expectation of the stay.

Overall, expect a smaller room size and smaller bathrooms in Scandinavia compared to Australian, New Zealand or U.S.A standards.
