REVIEWS

'I would highly recommend a holiday with Encounter Travel. My trip was well organised and the co-ordinator was fun and helpful and full of energy. I met some great people of all walks of life. There is a good mix of organised activities and free time. I had a blast.'

Linda, Victoria

'Thank you for your organisation of a great holiday. As a first time traveller with Encounter, I didn't know what to expect. The Red Centre is indescribably beautiful and should be on every Australians' bucket list. We saw every sensational attraction in just the right order - each new experience was more incredible than the last. Thank you for recruiting such a great group of people for my travelling companions. The hotels were clean and very comfortable and it was a pleasure to be transported across such an amazing landscape so comfortably. I learnt so much about our wonderful country and wished I had done such a trip years earlier.'

Australia’s iconic rail journeys offer purpose-built carriages to do it in superb style. The Gold Service Single is a comfortable sleeper cabin option that offers all the luxurious inclusions of the Gold Service Twin such as fully inclusive dining with three gourmet meals per day, all-inclusive Australian wines, beers, base spirits and non-alcoholic beverages, and your choice of Off Train Experiences as you travel.

About Cabins/Carriages
Gold Service carriages each have 16 sleeping class cabins. We arrange for our group to have the same set dining times.

Gold class cabins are small; your stylish and ultra-modern cabin cleverly accommodates your belongings with a series of compartments and shelving options incorporated into the compact design.

Your comfortable seat with full leg extension bench seat by day converts to a cosy bed by night. Your own complimentary, quality Australian-made toiletries are included. The soulful, reflective and contemplative nature of moving across the continent by train is ideally suited to travelling solo but you can be as quiet or as social as you wish.

Your Restaurant Manager arranges dining seating options to ensure you are always meeting fellow travellers over delicious meals, and the Outback Explorer Lounge is a focal point for all daily social interactions.

And, of course, your fabulous and included choice of Off Train Experiences mean you will be joining fellow guests as you experience the amazing places you visit together. Inside your cabin, choose from six music and journey commentary channels to add background ambience to your travels, and you have numerous power supply outlets to keep your devices charged.

VIBE HOTEL SUBIACO (PERTH)
The brand-new Vibe Hotel Subiaco offers a new twist on an old WA favourite - celebrating Perth’s diversity of culture and cuisine and its fascinating history, incredible architecture and leafy laneways – without the bustle of a CBD stay.

Subiaco – or Subi as the locals call it – is a gateway suburb, situated just five minutes from Perth’s CBD, but worlds away in terms of nature and experience. The village boasts an incredible thirty parks, world-class bike trails and a buzzing atmosphere that draws an eclectic blend of characters to its streets. Lake Monger Reserve is a quick 5km drive away and is the place where you can hand feed swans and there’s nearby Kings Park.

There’s a colourful blend of trendy eateries, jazz bars and gastro pubs nearby. The hotel’s rooftop Storehouse restaurant offers unrivalled views to Perth’s CBDs and is our pick to enjoy a cheeky sunset cocktail or a meal that heroes local Western Australian produce.  The St Marks Road Co. will offer tasty eats from the ground floor eatery. Swimmers also enjoy Subiaco views from the comfort of their poolside lounge chair, and the rooftop gym means you can sightsee while you work out. For those that start the day with Barista coffee, the ground floor St Marks Road Co. eatery serves up fresh coffee and lots of it on demand.

This hotel is just 25 minutes from Perth airport, and the city is equally as accessible by bus, train and by car.

Address: 9 Alvan Street, Subiaco Perth, WA 6008, Australia

WiFi: Free @ 1 Mbps up to 4 devices per room.
