ADELAIDE; BAROSSA VALLEY VOYAGER DAY TOUR

Time: 9.00am to 5.15pm

This tour is the day after The Ghan arrives to Adelaide and passengers disembark. To join this tour you need to book 2 additional nights of say in Adelaide; day of train arrival, and next day.

OVERVIEW
The tour will give wine lovers the opportunity to visit four wineries/cellars, including wine tastings and a group lunch.

This world renowned wine region is a must see for wine lovers visiting Adelaide. Full of history, this region is home to over 80 Cellar Doors. Visit one of the oldest vineyards in the world, with Shiraz vines planted in 1843 (that’s 177 years old). Enjoy up to four wineries / Cellar Doors and be guided through the wine tasting experience by passionate vignerons.

Two wine regions combined make up the Barossa Valley; Eden Valley for amazing Riesling and cool climate wines and Barossa Valley, home to some of the world’s best Shiraz as well as Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Mataro, Semillon and Chardonnay. Barossa also has a long relationship with fortified wines with many Cellar Doors offering outstanding tawny port!

A delicious lunch with choice of meal and a glass of wine is included.

• All standard wine tasting fees as per itinerary at four cellar doors
  
  Cellar doors may include: Chateau Tanunda, Rockford, Langmeil, Elderton, Bethany, Tscharke’s, Yalumba or Seppeltsfield. Subject on change – depending on availability on the day.

This is a shared departure; there may be other passengers that are not Encounter Travel passengers. If we have enough interest this may change to a private group for Encounter Travel. All Small Group Tours are guaranteed to depart with a minimum of 2 people, maximum 10 people.

All bookings are subject to availability at time of booking. This tour is operated by a Third Party and subject to their booking terms and conditions and cancellation penalties apply in addition to our cancellation service fees.

In the event that a booking is cancelled the following fees will apply:

• Cancellation more than 3 days before departure – $10 per person.
• Cancellation less than 3 days before departure – no refund
