PRE GROUP STAY
We’ve created a short escape but you may like an extra night. Mid week rates for a Sunday stay provide the best value. Ask our travel team about this option, and the additional cost for other nights of stay. A post group stay is on request and subject to availability and price confirmation.

DAY 1 -  MONDAY

Arrive Pokolbin, Hunter Valley

Arrive to your Hunter Valley retreat and settle into your luxury accommodation. The afternoon is at your leisure. This evening, indulge in a relaxed evening in house, firstly meeting up before dinner with your fellow solo travellers, then continuing for a superb three course dinner. Dinner is a treat, and enjoyed at the guesthouse restaurant, eRemo; a contemporary Italian menu focusing on local producers.

DAY 2 -  TUESDAY

Local Hunter Valley Discoveries

Wake up to the tranquillity and enjoy breakfast at the guesthouse. After, the group sets off for a private guided tour of the Hunter Valley.

Touring the valley today will awaken your taste buds.  Visit two cellar doors at boutique vineyards and enjoy a relaxed winery lunch together. There’s also a visit to the Pokolbin Distillery for some sampling of their spirits, and there are stops for local cheese and chocolate tastings too.  Tonight is unscheduled; after a day out and a winery lunch an evening at leisure will provide the chance for an evening of choice. The nearby Hunter Valley Village Centre is the location of Harrigan’s Bistro and other dining options, or relax and stay in-house.

DAY 3 - WEDNESDAY

Relax @ Spicers Guesthouse

Relax and enjoy a gourmet breakfast in house.  Your guesthouse is centrally located in the Hunter Valley within easy reach of the Hunter Valley Village Centre and Hunter Valley Gardens. Make of the day as you wish. Explore more of the Hunter or simply relax and enjoy the beautiful facilities and surrounds of your guesthouse.

Tonight, a highlight dining experience at Restaurant Botanica located at the sister property, Spicers Vineyards Estate. A group transfer is provided to and from the restaurant this evening. Be delighted by the restaurant’s modern Australian seasonal menu, with much of the produce grown onsite.

FREE TIME EXTRAS:
Hot Air Balloon Sunrise Ride.   

There is something magical about experiencing the sunrise through hot air balloon rides in the Hunter Valley. Apart from the thrill of being in the air, you are also rewarded with beautiful scenery of greenery mixed with touches of the sun. This is an incredible way to appreciate the beautiful vineyards of the valley.

Hotel Check In/Out Times
Consider the hotel check in time on arrival and the hotel check out time on departure. If you arrive prior to the check in time, the hotel will store your luggage until the check in time and can also store your luggage until you are ready to depart for your onward journey. We are able to provide flight advice and booking services. A small service fee applies, due in advance.  If joining from outside Australia it is usually most economical if you make your own flight arrangements or use the service of a travel agent located within your country of residence.

Airport Transfers to/from the airport to the hotel are by your own arrangement. Various options including taxi and car share (Uber & others) are available.

If this trip seems right for you then we encourage you to book early and secure your place with a deposit.  Tour space is limited. Also, many services on this tour must be booked well in advance. To ensure your place, please check trip availability at your earliest convenience

FELLOW TRAVELLERS 
You will enjoy this group experience with a maximum of 16 travellers. It is more likely that the group will finalise with 6-12. This is a Solos Only tour. It is a couple-free group; you are welcome to join with a friend, but couples do not join this group. There may be some other guests at this boutique hotel that are not part of our group.

FREEDOM ESCAPES
This is a ‘Freedom Escape’ package we create for solo travellers. Freedom Escapes are geared to the independent solo traveller that enjoys the benefits of meeting up with a group of solo travellers, but with a less structured itinerary and without the services of a full-time group host. The emphasis of Freedom Escapes is on joining together for dinners and enjoying the accommodation facilities, with time for your own local discoveries.

ABOUT THE MEALS  
It’s regular that our trips include welcome dinners and farewell dinners for our groups. In addition, we include other group dining experiences to ensure that everyone can enjoy the benefit of travelling and dining as a group.  There’s nothing better than to share a meal with new friends and discuss the day’s adventures. Breakfast is scrumptious, served in house and included as part of your package. There is one lunch included while on your day tour of the Hunter Valley.  Two highlight dinners are included with the guesthouse package; one inhouse and the other dinner is at the nearby sister property. There is one night when dining is at your leisure.
