Island Ferry Transfers, Fraser Island

River Heads is the mainland ferry terminal which is located 20 minutes south of Hervey Bay.  From Hervey Bay airport, it is 11.4kms and takes around 15 minutes by taxi or car transfer services. The ferry for Kingfisher Bay Resort departs from River Heads.

ARRIVAL FERRY TRANSFER INFORMATION
On arrival to Hervey Bay airport, please make your way to: 

River Heads Mainland (Ferry) Reception
Shop 7/54 River Heads Village, River Heads Road, River Heads Queensland 4655

Guests are advised to arrive at the mainland reception 40 minutes prior to ferry departure for check in. A courtesy shuttle from the Mainland Reception to ferry will leave 10 minutes prior to ferry departure time.

FERRY DEPARTURES FROM RIVER HEADS (MAINLAND) TO KINGFISHER BAY, FRASER ISLAND
The group is booked on the 3:30PM ferry unless you arrange otherwise. If you wish to travel on another ferry please speak to our travel team no later than 21 days prior to departure. You should arrive on a flight that lands at least 90 minutes prior to the ferry departure time (more is better).

The journey takes approximately 45 minutes.
 

DEPARTURE FERRY TRANSFER INFORMATION
The group is booked on the 10:30AM ferry unless you arrange otherwise. If you wish to travel on another ferry departure this can be arranged - please speak to the resort on arrival to reschedule your transfer.

Upon departure, walk from Kingfisher Bay Resort to the Ferry terminal (this is a short walk which will take no more than 5-10 minutes).

On arrival to the mainland, disembark the ferry at the River Heads Wharf. Transferring to the Hervey Bay airport is by your own arrangement.
